SURVEY COORDINATOR / CADD PROFESSIONAL – VEGAS

We are currently seeking a qualified Survey Coordinator and CADD Professional to join our creative and energetic team. In this exciting position, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Survey Crews, Contractors and other project team members to facilitate land survey workflow in a variety of civil engineering and land survey projects. Project types include but are not limited to development/infrastructure, transportation, and municipal utilities, boundary surveys, and right of way documents. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is excited to be self-directed and is eager to learn and grow his or her career.

This is an exciting position, where you will be involved in the building of large-scale land development, infrastructure, transportation, and municipal utility projects. Responsibilities:

-Convert data between standard industry formats such as: AutoCAD, MicroStation, Esri/GIS files, Trimble Machine Control files, etc.
-Preparing CAD files received from Department of Transportation, municipal governments, engineering and architectural firms to be used in construction and staking applications.
-Performing project takeoffs and running earthwork calculations.
-Creating 3D site models to be used in survey and automated machine control applications.
-Develop, implement, and document data management workflows, specifications, and processes.
-Follow and document quality control procedures.
-Prepare highway right-of-way maps and documents.
-Prepare ALTA and Record of Surveys.
-Research and interpret government files, utilities, and public record documentation.
-Create accurate and legible survey maps, reports, legal descriptions.
-Identify and recommend process improvements and enhancements on existing projects.
-Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients.
-Mentor, teach, and advise team members.

Requirements:

-Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Geodesy, Land Survey, CAD or related field preferred.
-Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, GeoPack, OpenRoads, and Trimble Business Center.
-Knowledge of reading highway plans, plats and deeds.
-Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills.
-Ability to work independently and with multiple teams.
